Funeral services were held Monday for Dasan Jones, 15 – CBS Baltimore
PASADENA, Maryland (WJZ) – Fifteen-year-old Dasan Jones was recalled from his funeral Monday in Pasadena.
Her stepfather and Baltimore City Police Officer Eric Banks Jr. is behind bars after being charged with assault, reckless endangerment, attempting to disarm a United States Forces officer. order and resisting arrest.

The prosecution documents explained that Jones’ mother called the police to report that she could not reach her son, who she said was being held against his will at Bank’s house in Curtis Bay. When the police arrived, they found Jones’ body in the wall of the house.
As officers arrested Banks, prosecution documents indicate he attempted to disarm an officer and attempted to escape. He is currently being held on bail.
Dozens of people came and went on Monday at the Pasadena funeral home where the services were held.
A friend created a gofundme for Jones’ family by writing that she went to school with Jones and, “he had such a good soul and it was such a tragedy that he had to leave us so soon and so young”. She ended the caption by writing: “Justice will be served and you will be at peace at last.”
Anne Arundel County Police said there had been problems at the house in the past. They called the death “suspicious” but declined to go into details.
The cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner. The investigation is ongoing.
Banks has been a Baltimore City Police Officer for 3 years, but was suspended for a previous incident. He was suspended without pay.
