Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society earns four-star rating from Charity Navigator

Tori J. Ross November 18, 2022 2 min read

ARLINGTON, USA, Nov. 18, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ — NMCRS is proud to announce that its strong financial health and continued accountability and transparency have earned it a four-star rating from Charity Navigator. This rating designates NMCRS as an official “Give with Confidence” charity, indicating that our organization uses its donations wisely based on Charity Navigator criteria. Charity Navigator is the largest and most widely used independent charity evaluator in the United States. Since 2001, the organization has been an unbiased and trusted source of information for more than 11 million donors each year.

Charity Navigator analyzes the performance of nonprofit organizations based on four key indicators, called beacons. Currently, nonprofits can earn scores for the Impact and Results, Accountability and Finances, Culture and Community, and Leadership and Adaptability tags.

“We are delighted to provide NMCRS with third-party accreditation that validates its operational excellence,” said Michael Thatcher, President and CEO of Charity Navigator. “The four-star rating is the highest rating an organization can achieve. We look forward to seeing the good work that NMCRS is able to accomplish in the years to come.”

“Our four-star Charity Navigator rating is important because it shows our supporters that we are fiscally responsible and transparent with their donations,” said Lt. Gen. Robert R. Ruark, USMC (Retired), President and CEO. of the NMCRS. “NMCRS has an outstanding history of being there for Sea Service members and their families, and this excellent rating demonstrates our fiscal stewardship in helping our customers.”

“Charity Navigator helps our current and potential donors see that NMCRS is an organization they can trust,” said Gillian Gonzalez, Director of Development and Communications for NMCRS. “We have amazing donors, so we’re thrilled to present our four-star rating.”
