In April 2015, Heard transported the dogs to Australia on a private jet without declaring them to customs officials.
Depp was shooting the last part of the Pirates of the Caribbean series at the time.
Authorities only became aware of Pistol and Boo’s presence when their visit to a Gold Coast dog grooming salon was made public on Facebook.

The incident made headlines when the Minister of Agriculture and Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce said the dogs had better get back to the United States or that he would arrange to have them slaughtered.
The dogs were quickly whisked out of the country before a 72-hour deadline expired during which the dogs were expected to be seized.
Heard was charged with breaking Australian customs laws, but those charges were later dropped after she and Depp posted a bizarre video apology.
Depp has never been charged for the incident.
